Cane Corso Puppies for Sale

Cane Corso (a.k.a. Italian Mastiff) Puppies at 1st Ave Acres!

1st Ave Acres is excited to announce...
A gorgeous litter of purebred Cane Corso (Italian Mastiff) puppies arrived on December 29, 2009!

(1st Ave Acre's "Belle" pictured above)

Never heard of Cane Corsos?  You're not alone!  Cane Corsos are a very old, RARE breed of dog in the mastiff family.  There are several websites with good info about this unique "Old World", Italian breed.  Check them out...this may be the perfect breed for you, too!

("Belle" watching over her turf!)

We have one absolutely wonderful 3-yr-old Cane Corso named "Belle" (she's our ONLY dog as well).  We adore our dog and this breed!  She represents the breed well...very obedient, easy to train, very smart, extremely loyal, outstanding protector of persons and property, exceptionally gentle with children and small critters, very quiet and calm, and she stays close to home (rarely ever steps foot off the property).  She's simply the perfect dog!

The Puppies...

Why purchase your Cane Corso puppy from 1st Ave Acres rather than a Cane Corso kennel?

We are *NOT* a kennel, that's why!
Don't miss your chance to purchase a pup of this special breed that wasn't "kennel" born & raised!  Socialization and diverse stimuli at an early age is very important for this breed (as it is with all mastiff and bully breeds).  You will search long and hard to find another Cane Corso breeder that is able to socialize their pups to the extent that we can given the environment our puppies are born into here.  We're on a farm after all - you can't get much more social in the animal world than this!
Our Cane Corso "Belle" has never stepped foot (or paw) in a kennel cage since she's been with us!  Our Cane Corso is free to run the farm and watch over her people and property, as this breed was intended to do, and her pups come into the world with the same liberties and are taught to follow the same rules.  So, not only do our pups get exposed to our family of 2 adults and 5 children and our many human guests, but they also get constant interaction with our Boer goats, Miniature horses, chickens, rabbits, ducks, geese, and cats!  NO kennel can offer you this degree of 24/7 socialization, experiences, and learning opportunity in the first 8 weeks of puppyhood!
While our dog is an "outdoor" dog, she is invited into the house daily - so whether you choose to raise your Cane Corso as a "house" or an "outside" doggie, your pup will be ready for either!  They only thing they won't be accustomed to is spending hours upon hours in a kennel or cage, surrounded by other barking, unsocialized dogs!
We lay the foundation for the perfect puppy from this wonderful breed - we promise!
Oh yeah...your puppy will also already be using the 'potty' OUTDOORS (naturally, just like momma) here on the farm, so house-breaking will be much easier than with a "kennel" raised pup...what a bonus!

Litter Pedigree...
We have bred our formentino-colored "Belle" to a huge, gorgeous blue brindle Cane Corso stud named "Deuce" of Pleasant Hill Kennels.  Deuce is not only a gorgeous representation of the breed, his personality is also top-knotch!  We searched hard for the perfect stud for "Belle".  We wanted not only the perfect looking stud, but we would only accept the perfect tempermented dog as well...we found everything and more in "Deuce"!

Regarding the Dame:  Belle was originally bred by Nirvana Cane Corsos in Michigan.  Her beautiful blue brindle dam can still be seen on their website...check out "Twinkie" at
http://nirvanacanecorso.com/twinkie.html
Belle's sire is Akebu Lan Santino Corleone, a Champion black Cane Corso!

("Belle" loves to lounge around on the deck, quietly observing farm happenings!)

Regarding the Stud:  Belle is bred to "Deuce of Pleasant Hill".  Thank you to Tina & Matt Rau for accepting Belle for your gorgeous stud!  Deuce is ICCF registered and also eligible for AKC.  Deuce's sire is the blue Azul De Pleasant Hill, and his dam is the blue Harley of Pleasant Hill...yes, lots of the sought-after blue in Deuce's lineage!  We have copies of his multi-generational pedigree for any interested puppy purchasers!

Puppy pricing...
Bad news or good news? You decide...
We were not able to obtain Belle's ICCF registration papers from her previous owner.  She is ICCF registered and eligible for AKC registration, but we do not hold her papers.   As such, these puppies will be purebred, UNREGISTERED Cane Corso puppies, and we will be selling them at a HUGE reduction as compared to registered puppies.  We recognize and appreciate that holding papers is not important to the vast majority of pet owners, so this situation just might enable you to pick up a very rare, unique, wonderful, purebred Cane Corso pup at less than half the 'going' rate!

All puppies are now reserved.
THANK YOU to our RESERVED BUYERS!

"Welcome Home" Gift Basket...

What's in there?  We can't tell you...it's a surprise that you'll receive on pick-up day!  We can tell you this...you and your family (and your new puppy) will surely delight in its contents!
Enjoy & thanks from 1st Ave Acres!!

Now for the details...
We are pretty straight-forward here on the farm...your puppy purchase will be very simple with us!  Hopefully the tidbits below help answer any questions...if not, just ask!

Puppy Choice & Pick of Litter:  Buyers who reserve a pup before the litter arrives will pick their pup in accordance with their place in the reservation line as soon as the puppies arrive...first person to reserve gets first choice of pup, and so on. Simple and Fair!

If you would like "PICK OF LITTER", you can pay $100 extra for that privilege and you'll be able to choose your puppy FIRST when they arrive, regardless of where you fall in the reservation line.  Only one "Pick of Litter" available, and we will update here when the pick of litter option is taken. {Update:  Pick of Litter is RESERVED}

We'll use the first few weeks after the puppies arrive for reserved purchasers to make their perfect puppy pick!  All unreserved puppies will be listed for sale individually after all reserved puppies are selected.

Health Guarantee:  Puppies will have a vet check before going home.  We would ask that you take your puppy to your vet within 3 business days of going home.  If your vet finds anything of concern, we will exchange your puppy for another immediately (or refund your money with return of puppy if no pup is available).  If you do not take your pup to vet within the 3-day window, we are unable to exchange or refund your puppy. Buyer bears cost of all transport to/from the farm for puppy exchange/refund.

Other health items:  Tails were docked and dew claws have been removed. Puppies will obviously have complete age-appropriate vaccinations while here.  They will also be dewormed before going home.

Cropped vs Natural ears:  We believe in "natural" ears and will not be cropping any of our pups' ears, regardless of how long they stay with us.  You can talk to your vet about having your puppy's ears cropped once you take him home if that's your preference.

Pickup/Shipping:  Puppies should be ready to go home February 23, 2010.  Puppies reserved before February 1, 2010, MUST be picked up by March 1, 2010, unless a boarding arrangement has been made.  Puppies not picked up by March 1st and without a boarding agreement will be re-listed for sale, and deposit forfeited.

YES, we ship!  We'll fly your pup to your nearest airport via American Airlines Cargo (we've used them with our Boer goats).  The price for shipping your puppy (which includes the necessary vet paperwork and a brand new puppy crate) is $325.

YES, we deliver! We'll also hit the road to meet/deliver for a very reasonable fee!

Payment:  Puppies must be paid for in full on or before pickup/delivery.  Checks are fine for payment of reservation deposit, but only CASH will be accepted for any remaining balance paid AT PICKUP...no checks accepted at pickup, no exceptions.  We also accept PayPal, allowing you to conveniently pay for your puppy with any major credit card!  Remember, all PayPal payments need to be 3% higher to cover PayPal fees.
